Bungamati Foundation, an organisation providing educational assistance to impoverished children, kindly hosted me during my stay in Bungamati and Khokana. Being on site allowed me to increase my understanding not only of the local architecture, but also of the different organisations involved in the reconstruction, the various social structures that shape the local communities, their perception of the situation, and numerous challenges inhabitants of these villages are facing in the aftermath of the earthquake.
